1) tv video in to rca yellow white red to DVD RECORDER Line out 1 red-white-yellow

2) TV set VHF to DVD vhf OUT

3)DVD recorder In to IF out to Sonicview 8000

4)LNB IN to Wall for Satellite

5) SV 8000 - S-video to DVD recorder Line 1 in S-Video cord

6) Piggyback Stereo audio cable DVD RECORDER audio Left white and Right to red Line In Line 1 Audio Red Left AUdio White

7) High Def Cables TV HD/DVD IN LINE 5 GREEN-BLUE-RED-WHITE-RED TO VIDEO IN SONIC VIEW 8000 RED- BLUE- AUDIO LFET AND RIGHT WITH RCA PIGGYBACK WHITE AND RED

8) TO Record a program you have to leave Sonic view 8000 .

So I switch my tv to Video 1 and then the Sonciview hopefully will view

You may have to format your dvd's.

Select the program you want to watch and then press record on your dvd recorder after the program has recorder then you have to use your tools button on your DVD to finalize the process. ( I have to read my dvd manual several times to learn how to finalize). I have my tv connected to HIgh Definition si I return to video 5 using my tv remote. When I start recording I turn up the volume button so I get the correct sound and then turn off the tv. Good LucK! It took me 2 days to figure this out and 3 weeks to finally post.
