Really? Isn't weird how you are able to do it without any problems with regular cable, but not with digital... isn't it supposed to make life easier =)

I believe the reason is because your tuner is being used while you are recording. You would probably need another tuner for it to be possible...

Correct...your tv has a tuner.....your VCR also has a tuner.....the digital box, however has a tuner built in....you never change your tv channel, right? Therefore, unless the digital box is a dual-tuner unit, you are stuck watching what you're recording, and vice versa.

or
you can use a splitter as another tuner... you would only be able to watch analog tv though
wall to splitter splitter to dct splitter to tv dct connects to tv using rca your welcome |
