running basic cable off cable internet

i have cable internet is it possible to take the cable going to the internet modem and run it into a splitter then run one cable back to the internet modem and one cable to a tv and have basic cable on the tv and still have internet

Let me get this right, if you have a Internet cable provider, say(Charter comm), or (comcast) or some other provider and do (NOT) have anything but there interent service, are you asking if the Firewire will provide cable TV, from them also?

The types of connections to your Modem is nothing like the firewire connect, and doesnot support TV signals being broadcast In HiWi..........Personally I dont see this possible. But on the other hand, you can run cable tv thru your PC, I know that is possible.

Just dont understand if Im missing something here, or your asking the wrong questions.
