I just bought a Dish Network receiver and I can't get the remote to work with my TV. The Dish Network tech support folks are useless. I have a Phillips Magnavox TV (Model # TS3254 C102) and although I can program the remote (model # IR 5.0) to operate the TV, it only operates in what appears to be limited mode (I can turn the power on and off and control volume but the other TV functions won't work). What I need, ultimately, is to be able to use the Dish network remote to change the TV input so I can watch my DVD player on it!

-hold down the tv function buttons until all function lights flash

-press pound twice

-watch the tv function button as it will light up your code (zero is a quick flash)

-hold down tv function button until they flash

-enter your 3 digit code and press pound


not all tv's will work with dish network remotes....limited mode has to be set by adding 1 to your tv's code and pressing pound.
