Which is better DishNetwork or Cable?
So what do you guys think? I was thinking about switching to DishNetwork, because cable is just so high! So I would please like an answer from DishNetwork users... are you happy with your service, and is the price OK, and how does it do during the rain/dark day? thank you!!

I think cable is to high priced as well and the quality can be sub-standard (most are scrambling to meet ATSC requirements before the FCC makes them).
Most people who complain about rain fade have a improperly installed LNB. I have Dish and I have over 100% signal most off the time. I have had a few instances of black out but the air sirens were going off just after it blacked out. A early warning sign to take cover!! The content satalite offers is for me better than cable. You really don't have to worry about the contract with regard to getting signal, although they don't advertise it if you don't reliably get signal to your standards you don't have to continue on the contract i.e. black out at every cloud. Just not that not all locations have a clear view of the southern sky, so don't push it if the installer says nay. It really depends on what you watch and how you want to view it that matters. My suggestion is to see what your neigbors have and ask them what they have found out. |

I use comcast and my mom uses DishNetwork. I prefer Comcast. I think its better. I get more HD channels, I think the selection of channels are better, and I get all kinds of free on demand movies and TV shows I can watch at any time.
My moms Dish also looses signals a lot and she has had a lot of problems with it. She has had to readjust it on the roof a couple times. |
