we have a box in my bros room which is the main box, dont ask me why they didnt put it in the living room
but anyway his box is two boxes in one, so one cable goes to his tv and one to living room
so you may ask how does the tv control everything without a box, well see theres an antenna on the back of the box which goes to the remote to living room so it has good range
my problem is my room doesnt have a box, my parents room is right next to the living room and they say it keeps them up at night when i have the tv on, so my dad said we could put a splitter on the main cable to the living room tv and run one to living room and one to my room
since the box has a long antenna the remote will reach from my room to the box
so if we do that and i just turn off the tv in the living room and use it in my room would it work
oh and yes we do have a dish network splitter
