Why? My tivo recently broke and apparently my "lifetime membership" expires if I upgrade the box. The DirecTv service seems much cheaper than Tivo and has the exact same functionality. Am I missing something?

Direct TV recorder thing is harder to navigate, it deletes things itself.















All my friends have switched.

I like my HR10-250 TIVO better, but you can't get the new HD channels on it so I have a HR20-700S now. It works good.
