I'm having trouble programming my Direct TV
remote? I have a Sylvania TV and have tried all of the codes they gave me to try and program TV Input. However, none worked and I really want to avoid having a separate remote just for TV input controls

does the remote have a "search function" for codes, most do. It's not uncommon for them to use someone elses codes.
