uhm... maybe you can order a channel or something... I have the on demand stuff and it's way cool. It's called... Cutting Edge on Demand and it has a category dedicated to anime and stuff and shows awesome anime. I don't know if I'm familiar with Directv, but maybe you should call them up and ask them.

Only other channel I have on DirecTV that gets anime is G4.I don't watch it very often because it doesn't have any shows that interest me. I wish they would get the anime channel for us DirecTV user. It's so unsatisfying watching boring TV when I could be watching anime.

Shitake had a good answer about OnDemand and the "Cutting Edge" channel, they do have a good handful of anime on there available... and most of that anime is from Anime Network, a standalone channel itself.. ask Direct TV if it can be added to your list!

From what I know, G4 dropped all their anime shows... not that they were any good anyways...

Also, the Independent Film Channel (IFC) also shows about 4 different anime series or so, plus occasionally shows anime movies. IFC is usually somewhere above the HBO/Showtime channels...

I remember back when we had it, there was an EACTN and EWAM that had some anime at night. They were in the 300's (340-360 I think). Any other channels will have younger, "kiddy" anime (pokemon, Yu-gi-oh, Digimon, ect.) Really hoped this helped.
