phoneline? I have the Vonage phone service,which is basically used with my cable internet service provider.I have Directv,but without having a normal phoneline hook-up to the receiver,I'm not able to order pay-per-view movies.Is there a way to still get pay-per-view without having a phone line hookup?

in the back of the vonage router, you put a splitter. one line to the phone and one to the Directv DVR.































I do it , and I get caller id on my tv now!

you CAN connect the vonage to the DTV receiver but you don't NEED to have a phone line hook up... you can order DTV PPV on the DTV website, or by calling them on the phone and ordering... there is actually a benefit to doing it this way, all the receivers will get the PPV not just the one that you ordered the PPV from.. you will be able to order up to 3 or 4 PPV with the remote before the access card is "full" and needs to call in to clear the data.. unless, or until you connect a phone line to your receiver these PPV will not clear from the card.. but you wont be charged for them either..
