Hp HW6900 Messenger
Just got my new phone. Thought i would post some pics...
I was waiting for rogers to get it, but they keep pushing back their date, so i purchased it directly from HP. Its the Hw6955 also known as Hw6945 in the USA and Hw6915 in Europe. Features Wifi - 416Mhz Intel XScale Processor - Bluetooth 1.2 - Built in Keyboard - 1.3 Megapixel Camera - Cellular GSM, GPRS, EDGE.

Thats the phone with built in GPS?
I've been eying that for months.... I was just going to purchase the HW6515 until they announced the 69xx series.... how did you get it?? I've heard it has not even been released!

Yep,
I got it directly from HP. You can order it from them... from what i believe rogers may take some time before they get it.... cingular only just got it in the US.... The built in GPS is mainly what drew me towards it.... I used to have a PDA/Phone/External BT GPS/Ipod. That is a lot to carry.... now this does it all and more for me with my 2GB minisd....

Yes.. i got the phone now...
Not sure if you are having an issue with SMS time/date issue... but if you are here is the solution: The time/date is supplied by your carrier, however it doesn't work correctly in WM5.. so what we can do is disable it and have it rely on the clock in the unit. 1) You'll need a registry editor such as 'PHM Registry Editor' 2) Goto HKLM/SOFTWARE/OEM/PhoneSetting 3) You'll need to edit the Value 'TrustTimeZoneField' - Change the value from 1 to 0. 4) Save the change, then go to 'Tools' and select 'Exit' 5) Turn off your hw6955 (by pushing the power button) 6) Then soft reset your hw6955 That should do it.
